Building on the growing need for more precise immune cell imaging tools, Marie Velada Dugois presented her work on the development of a novel Al[18F]F-RESCA-labelled CD163-specific PET tracer. CD163 is associated with immune-suppressive macrophages, making it a highly relevant target in both oncology and inflammatory diseases. Her research focuses on improving tracer design to enable more accurate, non-invasive visualisation of immune cell activity before, during and after treatment. By addressing limitations of existing tracers and exploring alternative binding strategies, this work contributes to a better understanding of immune cell dynamics and supports the development of more effective monitoring approaches in immunotherapy.
