Focusing on early treatment evaluation in inflammatory diseases, Wouter van den Heijden presented his work on the use of quantitative [18F]PEG-Folate PET/CT imaging to assess the efficacy of anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) therapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. This approach targets macrophage-driven inflammation, enabling detailed visualisation and quantification of inflammatory activity in affected joints.
